Ms Rochelle Ferry
I am more than happy to look after women who have had previous caesarian sections and either wish to trial a vaginal birth or require another section for medical reasons. Our practice philosophy is that how you birth your baby shouldn't impact on the quality or standard of care you receive. I am also more than happy to look after woman with multiple pregnancies. I offer home and waterbirth's, or birth mainly at Waitakere Hospital, although I do have access to North Shore Hospital.

New Zealand College of Midwives
Pregnancy and childbirth involve every part of you. Feelings, hopes, fears, physical and practical needs and spiritual or religious beliefs can all affect your pregnancy and birth. Midwives address all these aspects to help you give birth naturally, safely and confidently. The partnership relationship of the midwife and the woman is the foundation for women-centered midwifery care. Women who experience this type of midwifery care report feelings of great satisfaction and empowerment.
Choosing the right midwife for you is very important. Think about the questions you can ask to find out if the midwife will meet your needs.

West Auckland Midwives- Lolly Freeman
I am an independent midwife working in West Auckland. I have a Bachelor of Health Science (Midwifery) and my midwifery philosophy is in keeping within the partnership model of midwifery care - I believe that pregnancy & childbirth is a normal physiological process & women should be encouraged, supported and empowered to trust in their body, thus giving birth in a way that they makes them feel safe and in control of their own experience. I believe as a midwife it is important to ensure that the woman and her family/whanau are provided with information about their care and options in a manner that is best suited to them thereby allowing them to make informed decision. I have a passion for ensuring that all women and their families from culturally diverse backgrounds and beliefs are respected and provided with midwifery care that reflects this.
